As a Section Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the engineering and technical compliance of our projects. You’ll be the bridge between design and construction, providing essential support to keep everything on track. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include: Delivering focused engineering support and technical assurance, coordinating between design, delivery, and commercial teams. Interpreting design documentation to ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications. Assisting construction teams with technical queries and resolving design conflicts. Managing temporary works designs and approvals in line with site requirements. Monitoring construction progress and providing accurate technical input for project reporting and planning. What We’re Looking For
This role is perfect for you if you have: An HNC/HND or Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in civil engineering, mechanical, electrical, or a related discipline. Practical experience in infrastructure or wastewater construction projects, focusing on engineering assurance. The ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. A working knowledge of construction methods, health and safety legislation, and site quality procedures. A CSCS card and a full driving license. Proficiency in MS Office and construction-related software (e.g., AutoCAD, Navisworks). At Kier, we believe in potential!
