Are you looking for your first or even next Teaching Assistant role? Are you a Teaching Assistant wanting to return to work after a period away from the classroom? Do you have experience working with young people in any other capacity?
We are working with a number of schools in Knowsley & Liverpool and the surrounding areas that are looking to recruit Teaching Assistants. The role of a Teaching Assistant can be extremely varied and challenging but also very rewarding; you will be expected to support pupils either individually or as well supporting the entire classroom. In the role, flexibility, resilience and a sense of humour are essential.
Roles vary from ad-hoc daily cover to longer term positions, although this could lead to something more long-term in future, depending upon the schools need.

RESPONSIBILITIES
6. Being willing and able to support classes of primary and secondary aged children, helping to managing behaviour in line with school policies
7. Support individual or groups of students
8. Engaging with the pupils and keeping them on task, assisting with queries where possible
9. Dealing with any immediate issues or emergencies according to the school policies and procedures
REQUIREMENTS
10. An enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check (DBS) - we can help with this!
11. A flexible, punctual, professional and approachable manner
12. The ability to establish rapport quickly with children whilst maintaining a high standard of control and discipline
13. Qualification levels can vary from none rite up to degree level
