Location: Richmond (Hybrid Working) Salary: £55,000 per annum + Benefits
About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a experienced Paraplanner to join a well-established and growing financial planning firm.
This role offers the chance to work closely with experienced Financial Advisers, providing high-quality technical support and helping to deliver tailored financial planning solutions to clients.
The successful candidate will join a supportive and collaborative team environment, with excellent opportunities for career progression, ongoing training, and support towards Chartered status.
Following an initial training period, the role offers a hybrid working arrangement, combining remote working, office-based collaboration, and in-person meetings depending on business and client needs.
Key Responsibilities
1. Conduct detailed financial analysis to support the preparation of comprehensive financial plans.
2. Gather and organise client information, including income, expenditure, assets, and liabilities.
3. Use financial planning software to model scenarios and cashflow projections.
4. Prepare suitability reports, investment recommendations, and technical research.
5. Assist advisers in developing and implementing bespoke financial strategies.
6. Research financial products and investment solutions.
7. Ensure all work complies with FCA regulations and internal procedures.
8. Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records.
9. Keep abreast of market developments, legislation, and regulatory changes.
About You
You will be a highly organised and analytical professional with strong technical knowledge and a genuine passion for financial planning.
Qualifications
10. CII Level 4 Diploma qualified (or equivalent) with substantial paraplanning experience.
11. Ambition to progress towards Chartered Financial Planner status (fully supported).
12. Minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent), including Maths and English.
Knowledge & Experience
13. Good understanding of pensions, investments, personal tax, estate planning, and protection.
14. Ability to perform basic tax calculations.
15. Proven experience in an established Paraplanning role within a financial planning environment.
16. Strong understanding of the end-to-end financial planning process.
17. Experience with financial planning and back-office systems such as Genovo and/or Intelliflo Office.

18. Excellent analytical and report-writing skills.
19. Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail.
20. Ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
21. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
22. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
23. Team-oriented with a proactive and professional approach.
