Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Salary: £98 - £110 per day
Working Hours: Monday to Friday - 8:30am – 3:45pm
Core Education is currently working with schools in the Chester area who have requirements for a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant.
SEN Teaching Assistant Key Responsibilities:
1. Create an inclusive learning environment
2. Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and parents
3. Motivate and engage students
4. Provide 1:1 support to students with additional learning needs
5. Support the teacher to plan innovative and engaging lessons that meet the needs of children with various abilities
6. Work with children's EHCP plans to support their learning
7. Promote learning and personal development of students, adapting activities to meet their needs
SEN Teaching Assistant Experience:
* Excellent knowledge of the National Curriculum
* Experience working with students with additional needs such as ASD, PMLD, Global delay, Down syndrome, MLD, or SLD
* Recent classroom experience with strong behaviour management skills
* Commitment to supporting children as needed
* Previous experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant or relevant experience working with children
* Experience working within a SEN or primary school setting and confident in using initiative
* Qualification within Education is desirable
The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will need an Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one.
