Job Title: Procurement Manager (Packaging/ FMCG) Location: South Lanarkshire Employment Type: Full-time Salary: Up to £60,000 DOE Overview Alexander Steele are partnering with a successful FMCG business who are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to join their team. This role is responsible for sourcing and procuring packaging and related materials, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with business needs. The position requires a strong commercial mindset, supplier management skills, and the ability to drive sustainable and innovative packaging solutions. Key Responsibilities Develop and deliver procurement strategies for packaging and materials. Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and monitor performance. Ensure best value through cost analysis, benchmarking, and supplier evaluation. Support production, NPD, and other departments by securing materials on time. Forecast material requirements and prevent shortages or delays. Maintain accurate procurement records and ensure compliance with regulations. Contribute to sustainability and innovation initiatives within packaging. Candidate Profile 3 years’ experience in packaging procurement, preferably within FMCG or manufacturing. Strong negotiation, communication, and supplier management skills. Knowledge of packaging materials, regulations, and industry trends. Commercially and analytically minded, with proven cost-saving achievements. Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
