Salary range: £50,000 to £65,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Location: Glasgow, Bristol, Burton on Trent, Gloucester, Leatherhead, Manchester, Plymouth (flexible hybrid working, with time split between the office and working from home).

Overview
We are looking to recruit an engineer experienced in assessing the structural integrity of components to support growing demand in the aerospace and power industries. Using finite element analysis, you will conduct strength, fatigue, creep, and defect tolerance assessments of safety-critical parts to help clients develop new designs, solve operational problems, and justify life extension of existing assets. You’ll also deliver and lead projects across the Frazer-Nash portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
• Assess structural integrity of components using FEA.
• Conduct fatigue (low cycle & high cycle), creep and fracture analyses.
• Write bespoke software tools to accelerate assessment or increase detail.
• Lead and support projects across defence, energy and transport sectors.
• Engage with clients to understand requirements and deliver insights.
• Build client relationships and contribute to capability development.
Qualifications
* A degree in engineering or equivalent.
* Technical knowledge in mechanical/structural engineering.
* Experience with FEA (Abaqus, Ansys or SC03).
* Experience with failure mechanisms: strength, fatigue, creep, fracture.
