Pay Rate: £95–£130 per day

GSL Education are seeking an enthusiastic Behaviour Support Assistant to join schools in the Rotherham area. As a Behaviour Support Assistant, this role provides the opportunity to work closely with pupils who require additional behavioural and emotional support, helping them develop positive attitudes, self-regulation, and essential social skills.
Responsibilities as a Behaviour Support Assistant:
* Support pupils with behavioural, emotional, or social difficulties.
* Implement strategies to encourage positive behaviour and self-regulation.
* Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to provide individualised support.
* Encourage pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development.
* Assist with maintaining a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment.
* Collaborate with parents and colleagues to support pupils’ holistic development.
Requirements for Behaviour Support Assistant:
* Experience supporting children with SEMH or additional needs is desirable.
* Strong communication, interpersonal, and observation skills.
* Patience, empathy, and a positive approach to behaviour management.
* An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
* A CV covering the last 10 years of employment history, with any gaps explained.
