ABOUT THE ROLE:


We're looking for a people-first, digitally savvy part-time Community Manager to help manage and grow our online communities across Discord, Telegram, and Reddit.


This role focuses on clear communication, sound judgement, and strong interpersonal skills in fast-moving online environments. You'll support day-to-day community engagement, respond to users, and help maintain a professional, welcoming space even when conversations become high-volume or challenging. The role requires availability on a part-time basis (Up to 25 hours per week) across five days per week, with flexibility around hours.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


* Help manage day-to-day moderation and engagement across Discord, Telegram, and Reddit (potential to expand).
* Represent Wirex in community spaces with a professional, approachable, and consistent tone of voice.
* Respond to user questions, concerns, and feedback clearly and efficiently.
* Handle sensitive or high-pressure conversations with sound judgement and professionalism.
* Create and publish engaging community content, including announcements, prompts, polls, and discussion starters.
* Support community growth initiatives and engagement experiments with creative, out-of-the-box thinking.
* Manage and support the use of community bots on Discord and Telegram for moderation, onboarding, and engagement.
* Identify recurring issues, emerging trends, and community sentiment, escalating insights internally when needed.
* Collaborate closely with Marketing, Product, and Support teams to ensure consistent and accurate communication.
* Help foster an inclusive, respectful, and well-moderated environment across all community channels.
* Produce weekly community reports, covering engagement levels, sentiment, key themes, recurring issues, and actionable insights.
* Available to work on a part-time basis (up to 25 hours per week), across five days per week.


WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

Essential:


* 1–2 years' experience in community management, moderation, or online customer engagement.
* Hands-on experience managing Discord and Telegram communities (Reddit is a strong plus).
* Experience working with and implementing bots on Discord and Telegram, including moderation and engagement automation.
* Ability to manage existing bots and support the rollout of new automation tools.
* Basic image editing skills for community content (e.g. resizing, light edits).
* Excellent written communication skills with a strong customer-first mindset.
* Comfortable operating in high-volume or fast-paced online environments.
* Strong judgement when handling sensitive, emotional, or escalated user interactions.
* Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple conversations simultaneously.
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
* Comfortable working independently while following established guidelines and tone of voice.

Desirable:


* Experience in crypto, Web3, fintech, or technology-led communities.
* Familiarity with Reddit moderation culture and best practices.
* Background in content creation for community engagement.
* Experience working in startup or remote-first environments.
* Genuine interest in online communities and digital culture.
