The Power System Technician will provide a technical engineering service with the minimum of supervision in respect of mechanical & electrical servicing, repairs, maintenance, supervision and installation. Location - This role is based in North London, with travel required to various sites (including Essex, Chelmsford, Stevenage, Luton, Cambridge, Peterborough) We offer * Circa £39,000 base salary * 5% Shift Allowance * Paid Overtime * Company vehicle * 6% pension contribution * Private Medical * 25 days annual leave * Access to our comprehensive flexible benefits including discounts on big brands, wellness and employee assistance programmes, gymflex, buy and sell annual leave, travel and dental insurance * Training provided to support City & Guilds certifications Must haves * Driving licence (full UK) * City & Guilds 2382 - 18th Edition Regulations or 17th Edition * Previous experience in Field Services or completion of an approved electrical apprenticeship in a similar environment. * Working knowledge of the principles of power supplies, HVAC Systems, ACBs, Generator Systems, Static UPSs, Static Switches * Working knowledge of and able to apply Safety, Health and Environment legislation, policies and procedures * Willing to travel * Some overnight stays away from home location maybe required The role Reporting directly to the team manager the Power Systems Technician will be part of a multi-skilled team covering the North London service area. Even though you are part of a team you’ll be providing your individual contribution to this multi skilled team providing day to day operational duties. Some travel outside of the normal team area may be required in exceptional circumstances. * Complete planned works and maintenance on a range of systems and networks. * Respond to faults and service outages and complete corrective maintenance in line with Arqiva standards, policies and procedures * Support upgrades and modifications to existing systems and networks following agreed instructions Maintain accurate records, documentation and reporting of actions taken * Complete testing and measurements to ensure compliance with regulatory, industry and customer requirements * Engage with customers and build positive working relationships To actively participate in 24/7 365 callout response as per the scheduled rota. * To ensure that equipment operates to specified performance criteria and is maintained to conform to agreed company standards * Working in a safe manner at all times, complying with current Health & Safety legislation and Arqiva SHEQ policy
