Warehouse Yard Team Leader
Location: Redditch
Pay Rate: £14.04 per hour
Job Type: Temp to Perm
Hours: Monday to Friday, 10:00am - 6:00pm

About the Role
Recruitable Staffing are recruiting for a hands‑on and proactive Warehouse Yard Team Leader to support the day‑to‑day running of a busy warehouse and yard operation based in Redditch.
This is a great opportunity for someone with previous warehouse, yard or pallet network experience who enjoys leading by example, staying operationally involved and helping ensure freight is handled safely, accurately and on time.
Working closely with the Warehouse Manager, you will help coordinate inbound and outbound freight, support the warehouse team and maintain high standards across the operation.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise the day‑to‑day yard and warehouse operation
* Coordinate inbound and outbound pallet network freight
* Safely load and unload trailers and vehicles
* Operate Counterbalance FLT as part of the daily operation
* Support warehouse duties including stock movement, scanning, labelling and housekeeping
* Operate Bendi/Flexi trucks where required
* Work closely with the Warehouse Manager to ensure operational deadlines are met
* Provide day‑to‑day support and guidance to warehouse operatives
* Liaise with the Transport team, drivers and management
* Escalate operational issues, damages or delays where required
* Lead by example and promote a positive team culture
Skills and Experience Required
* Previous experience in a Warehouse Supervisor or Team Leader role is essential
* Experience within pallet network operations would be highly desirable
* Valid Counterbalance FLT licence is essential
* Bendi/Flexi truck experience or licence would be advantageous
* Experience working within a fast‑paced warehouse or yard environment
* Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise workloads
* Confident communicator with a hands‑on, solutions‑focused approach
* Good understanding of warehouse health and safety standards
