Your new role
As a Personal Tax Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing the preparation and review of personal tax returns, managing junior team members, and ensuring compliance with UK tax regulations. Working within a newly formed, collaborative team, you will review tax computations, uphold quality standards, and leverage advanced technology to streamline processes. You'll act as a second-line contact for clients, provide tailored solutions to complex challenges, and identify opportunities for value-added advisory services.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Leading, managing, and inspiring your team to achieve strategic objectives.
2. Monitoring performance against KPIs and driving continuous improvement.
3. Conducting detailed quality reviews and resolving escalations efficiently.
4. Acting as a trusted advisor to clients and enhancing satisfaction.
5. Ensuring compliance with technical, quality, and risk frameworks.
What you'll need to succeed
6. A recognised accountancy and/or tax qualification (, ATT, CTA, ACA, ACCA, CA) or equivalent experience.
7. Strong technical knowledge of professional standards and the ability to support colleagues and clients.
8. Confidence in training others and developing bid and pricing proposals for non-complex work.
9. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
