The Social Sport ) is a Cambridge-based start-up that has been running for 9 months. We organise and host casual sports events for young professionals as a healthy, fun way to meet new people and socialise. Our mission is to build community through inclusive and enjoyable sports sessions.
Role Description
We're looking for a Marketing Coordinator (part-time, 3–5 hours/week) to help us grow our community and fill our weekly sports events. This is a hands-on role in a small, fast-paced start-up where your ideas will directly shape our growth.
You'll be involved in:
* Developing and executing creative marketing campaigns
* Running our social media accounts and creating engaging content
* Managing Instagram adverts and re-engagement campaigns
* Designing posters/graphics (Canva/Adobe)
* Email marketing and participant communication
* Identifying companies and partners for outreach
* Tracking what works — and sharing learnings with the team
Qualifications
We're looking for someone who:
* Is studying or has a bachelor's in marketing/communications, has freelance experience, or wants to grow a creative marketing portfolio
* Can bring ideas and implement them
* Is confident with social media and digital marketing tools
* Has good communication and writing skills
* Can use Canva/Adobe (or similar) to create content
* Is organised, independent, and enjoys working in a small team
