Role

The Finance Business Partner will be responsible for providing financial expertise and support to drive business performance. They will be required to analyse financial data, develop insights and offer strategic guidance to senior management to help the business make informed decisions and improvements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Supporting the implementation and effective execution of the month-end P&L close process and preparing the month-end pack. This will involve:
2. Preparing month end P&L analytical review for Assistance and UK Claims cost centres, e.g., identifying movements against budget, and prior month actuals.
3. Working closely with the Financial Accounting (R2R) team to ensure timely delivery of actuals in line with month-end close deadlines.
4. Liaising with the relevant Operations heads of departments to provide commentary on material cost and revenue variances against budget.
5. Preparing a month-end pack highlighting the performance against various KPIs.
6. Ensuring any corrections or exceptional postings are input to relevant Finance systems in line with the month-end close timelines.
7. Regular communication with the Assistance and UK Claims SMT, reporting on monthly financials and assisting with ad hoc requests.
8. Preparation of weekly cashflow forecasts and budgets.
9. Review of cashflow forecasts to determine relevant cash repatriations to Group.
10. Driving and owning the process for producing the annual budget and 3 year/strategic plan for UK Claims and Assistance. This will involve:
11. Working closely with the business Directors and senior Finance leaders to obtain required information and ensure the annual budget and 3 year/strategic plan is completed in a timely manner.
12. Uploading budget and plan information into Finance systems.
13. Ensuring data accuracy in TM1 and resolving any issues with the system accountants
14. Provide ad hoc support to the Senior FBP and Finance Director and across the team as required.
15. Identifying and supporting the implementation of opportunities to simplify and streamline processes.
16. Carry out Ad Hoc duties and tasks that are allocated to you at the discretion of management and that are within your capabilities and within the scope of your post.

Required Skills

18. ACCA or ACA Qualified within The Big 4/professional services environment looking for their first role in industry.
19. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
20. Strong communicator with good presentation skills.
21. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build effective relationships with the business, Finance and other Stakeholders.
22. Demonstrable ability to prioritise tasks and work under time pressure.
23. Team player with a can-do attitude who is also comfortable working independently without supervision.
24. Keen to learn and continually develop skills.
25. Excellent attention to detail.
26. Proactive and keen to find more efficient ways of working.
27. Excellent organisation and time management skills.
