Overview
An excellent secondary school located in Hillingdon is looking for a motivated teaching assistant to work with children on a one-to-one basis and in small groups. The school values academic knowledge and seeks someone who shares this ethos.
Responsibilities
* Work alongside teachers and other teaching assistants to support children's attainment and progress.
* Support children's learning up to GCSE level; adapt to individual needs; make observations and carry out sessions instructed by the teacher to improve progress.
Contract and progression
The role is a permanent, full-time contract for the full year and may continue for the right person. The school also looks at hiring prospective future teachers completing SCITT / teacher training.
Key skills and experience
* Degree is preferred, in subjects such as psychology or sociology.
* Experience working with children.
* Enthusiastic and creative approach to learning.
* Support with the delivery of the curriculum.
* High levels of professionalism.
