Year 5 Teacher – Inner-City Leeds | September 2026 Start
We are currently recruiting a committed and motivated Year 5 Teacher to work in a welcoming inner-city primary school in Leeds from September 2026.
This role is ideal for a teacher who is passionate about raising attainment, building strong relationships, and making a meaningful impact in a diverse school community. You will be supporting pupils as they develop higher-level Key Stage 2 skills in preparation for Year 6.

Plan and deliver engaging Year 5 lessons in line with the National Curriculum
Support pupils with a range of academic, social, and emotional needs
Raise attainment in core subjects, particularly reading, writing, and maths
Differentiate learning to meet the needs of mixed-ability learners, including SEND and EAL pupils
Use positive and consistent behaviour management strategies
Work closely with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, and pastoral staff
Track pupil progress and deliver targeted interventions where required
Create a positive, inclusive, and aspirational classroom environmentRequirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching Year 5 or Upper Key Stage 2
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
Secure understanding of the KS2 curriculum and assessment expectations
Excellent communication, resilience, and adaptability✅ This role is also open to Early Career Teachers (ECTs) with appropriate support.
