Job overview

Here at Shaftesbury Adult CMHT, we are excited to recruit a registered mental health nurse (RMN) to join the team. We are looking for an experienced Band 6 RMN to join the team.

We would welcome applicants who are passionate about recovery, person centred in their approaches and driven to be part of a close working team. You will be supported in your clinical work, and professional development, by experienced mental health practitioners, and with ongoing close & supportive supervision from the Team Leader together with an agreed programme of induction and orientation as required.

Applications from candidates that require visa sponsorship to work in the UK are unfortunately ineligible to apply for this position.

Employment in this post requires an Enhanced/Standard Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.

Main duties of the job

You will work as part of an established integrated multi-disciplinary team, this team is made up of a Psychiatrist, Nurses, Social Workers, OT and Support Time Recovery Workers with further support of Admin and a Psychologist.

If you are looking for a challenging, varied and rewarding job this could be the post for you and we would welcome you to come and meet us and apply.

We are looking for someone who is reliable, committed, dynamic, and a motivated professional with excellent communication, organisational skills and the ability to prioritise work.

Having experience of working in a community mental health environment would be useful, but not essential, you will need to be able to apply the philosophies of engagement and recovery within your work with service users.

A good level of IT literacy is an essential requirement.

The team is based in Shaftesbury and covers surrounding areas. The post holder will need to have a valid driving licence and use of a car as they will be required to assess and monitor patients in their own homes and within other community settings.
