Job Advertisement: Level 2 Teaching Assistant – L33 Area A well-regarded primary school located in the L33 area is currently seeking a committed and enthusiastic Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join its team. This is a full-time, term-time only position, offered on a temporary basis with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. Location: L33 Contract Type: Temporary (with potential for permanent placement) Start Date: As soon as possible Working Hours: Full-time, term-time only Role Overview The successful candidate will work under the direction of the class teacher to support the physical and general care of individual pupils and small groups. The role involves assisting with learning activities, promoting positive behaviour, and contributing to a supportive and inclusive classroom environment. Key Responsibilities Support pupils in accessing the curriculum and engaging in learning activities Assist with the physical and general care of pupils, including those with additional needs Help manage classroom behaviour and encourage positive interactions Prepare and organise learning materials as directed by the teacher Provide feedback to teaching staff on pupil progress and behaviour Supervise pupils during break times, school trips, and other activities Candidate Profile The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following qualities: Caring and patient, with a genuine interest in supporting children’s development Reliable and flexible, with the ability to adapt to changing classroom needs Strong communication skills, both verbal and written A collaborative team player with a proactive approach Organised and efficient, with good time management Calm and resilient, particularly when managing challenging behaviour Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children Essential Requirements Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) Experience working with children in an educational setting Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) Legal right to work in the UK All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
