Role Overview Production Operatives assist in the production, assembly and packing of a variety of goods. The Production Operative will form part of a team and have specific duties within an assigned section. Duties may vary from material handling to finished goods onto a production line, including the packing and inspection of finished products. Key Responsibilities Ensure production is in accordance with specification sheets. Operate equipment safely and in accordance with all instruction and guidelines, including Health and safety and PPE requirements. Follow shop orders as per production plan. Monitor the goods being made during production ensuring specification is met through quality process excellence. Fix minor issues that may arise with the production line and trouble-shoot when production issues occur. Immediately notify Setter/Team Leader when production issues occur that cannot be resolved by you. Input data into computer system to record production and finished goods (not there yet) Ensure correct labelling of finished goods. Undertake equipment inspection and cleaning in accordance with instructions. Maintain accurate process data/records/documentation associated with your work. Ensure compliance to quality standards, policies and procedures, codes and legislation including health and safety. Immediately report problems/failures that may impact on the organisation and/or its clients/customers to Setter/Team Leader Adopt a Continuous Improvement mindset utilising lean philosophies including, 5s and red tagging.
