Senior Easements Project Manager, Data Centre Supply Solutions (DCSS)
Various possible locations in addition to London, including Paris, Madrid, Barcelona, Frankfurt, Milan and Dublin.
The Senior Easements Project Manager will be responsible for coordination across a variety of internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of our data centre developments. The role is a key player in securing easements and all other necessary land rights for the development of our projects. Periodic travel to assigned geographies is required.
AWS Infrastructure Services (AIS) owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centres and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. You’ll join a diverse team of engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles to deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers.
Key job responsibilities
* Devise and agree the strategy for delivery of land rights for offsite infrastructure.
* Negotiate terms with landowners.
* Project manage external suppliers negotiating easements.
* Work with teams to manage program and risk.
* Engage in the site selection process to de‑risk easement delivery.
* Engage with internal and external legal counsel to ensure swift execution of easement agreements.
* Manage internal and external databases and AWS tools, approvals and reporting systems.
Basic Qualifications
* A degree in Real Estate, Civil Engineering or other related field.
* 10+ years experience in delivery of infrastructure real estate with a track record of project management, creative problem solving and the ability to push past barriers to achieve on‑time project execution.
* Ability to engage directly with municipalities, utilities, architects, engineers, agents and lawyers.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications
* Fluency in one or more of Spanish, French, German or Italian.
* Background in easement delivery and data centre development experience.
* Experience working in a large organisation and internationally in real estate development.
* Experience negotiating terms and managing the legal process with a variety of landowners.
