We are looking for a dedicated Healthcare Assistant to provide complex care to a client in Wiltshire. The position requires 12-hour shifts, including a rotation of days and waking nights. A full UK driving licence is essential.
The Main Duties And Responsibilities
* Remaining awake and alert for the entirety of the shift.
* Completing regular checks for health and welfare.
* Supporting the customer with their personal care needs.
* Supporting the customer to meet their outcomes.
* Administering medication.
* Use of moving and assisting equipment such as ceiling track hoists, electric wheelchairs, floor lifts, toto’s etc.
* Encouraging independence where possible.
Knowledge of spinal injury, autonomic dysreflexia, diabetes, stoma care and catheter care is desirable but if not, we can provide full training.
Requirements
* 1 year+ complex care
* PEG feeding and oxygen management (training provided for the right candidate)
* GCSE maths and English or Equivalent
* Must hold a FULL UK driving license
* Comfortable with cats
* Comfortable around smoke
