Purpose
Reporting to the Chief People Officer, the Senior People & Culture Business Partner will partner with Executive Committee members, Department Heads and Managers in relation to Recruitment, Performance Management, Employee Relations, Reward and Learning & Development. The role will provide proactive support and direction to Line Managers on People policies, procedures and best practice & legislation.
About The Role
Contributions will be instrumental in nurturing a high-performance culture, fostering colleague engagement, and guaranteeing that People practices are in harmony with our overarching business strategy and objectives. This role will involve overseeing a People & Culture Advisor and People & Culture Assistant, with the potential for further expansion. As a Line Manager, this role will inspire, motivate and develop individuals through coaching and mentorship.
Responsibilities
Recruitment
* Oversight of the end-to-end recruitment process, guiding the team on delivering an excellent, proactive, professional recruitment service to attract high calibre and diverse talent across all levels.
* Participating in the selection process of senior hires across the business.
* Acting as an escalation point for the team to resolve contract, referencing, onboarding issues.
* Complying with all relevant employment legislation and codes of practice.
Performance Management
* Supporting Managers and colleagues with performance management, including the quarterly review process.
* Providing tools and measures to ensure performance expectations are understood, met and addressed effectively; supporting managers with underperformance issues.
Employee Relations
* Managing disciplinary actions in cooperation with Line Managers.
* Managing complex disciplinary, grievance, absence and other people-related issues.
* Leading on employment law updates for the People & Culture team, coordinating and embedding future changes.
Talent Development
* Working with CPO and wider team to define and implement L&D strategy.
* Designing and building training, working with external partners, delivering training to colleagues.
Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging / Wellbeing
* Representative on the Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging Committee.
* Active lead on the Wellbeing Committee.
* Assisting the Chair to meet the DIB strategy, reviewing policies, educating staff, providing safe forums, promoting work internally and externally, embedding FCA changes.
Other
* Demonstrating the organisation’s Vision, Purpose, Values and Personalities; promoting role model behaviour.
* Aligning actions with FCA’s Consumer Duty principles, contributing to fair client outcomes.
About You
Knowledge
* Significant HR/People experience in a fast-paced environment, preferably within financial services.
* Experience in Financial Services / Wealth Management is preferable.
* Strong generalist knowledge and experience in employee relations.
* Up-to-date employment law knowledge essential.
* Knowledge of business drivers and how People & Culture can contribute to success.
Qualifications
* Qualified, or working towards CIPD Level 7 essential.

* Ability to partner senior stakeholders confidently.
* Keen interest in diversity and inclusion with experience designing initiatives.
* Ability to manage HR/People projects from inception to delivery.
* Tenacious, resilient, able to respond robustly to pressure and adapt to changing priorities.

* Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills across all levels, especially senior stakeholders.
* Teamwork, collaborative, supportive; previous management experience essential.
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy of work.
