About Us
We are seeking an experiencedPractice Educator (Band 7)to join our dedicated team at St Elizabeths Centre. Nestled in 60 acres of beautiful Hertfordshire countryside St Elizabeths is more than a care and education provider were a thriving, values-led community built on compassion, aspiration, collaboration and joy. With on-site education, residential care and a multidisciplinary health agency including specialist nursing, therapies, psychology, and positive behaviour support we offer a unique, integrated model that supports individuals across every stage of life.
The Role
This is a highly visible and influential role, combining clinical credibility with educational leadership in which you will:
* Lead, plan and deliver high-quality clinical training and competency-based education across nursing, therapy, education and residential teams
* Promote evidence-based, person-centred practice throughout the organisation
* Develop and evaluate individualised training packages in partnership with multidisciplinary colleagues
* Support induction, supervision and continuing professional development of nursing staff and wider teams
* Act as a clinical role model, sharing expertise and modelling excellent standards of compassionate care
* Support regulatory compliance in line with the Care Act, Childrens Homes Regulations, CQC and Ofsted standards
* Contribute to audits, reports, policy development and quality improvement initiatives
* Deliver and support Nursing-led specialist clinics
What Were Looking For
* NMC Registered Nurse(Paediatric specialism essential)
* Clinician with substantial experience supporting children and young people with learning disabilities, autism and/or complex needs
* Professional with strong knowledge of epilepsy management and evidence-based practice
* Experienced supervisor/mentor of staff and student nurses
* Confident educator with experience delivering training workshops and competency-based assessments
* Motivating, approachable and adaptable team player with excellent communication skills
A formal teaching qualification (e.g. PgCert in Practice Education) and mentorship qualification are desirable (or willingness to undertake).
You will be enthusiastic, assertive in clinical decision-making, and deeply committed to safeguarding, equality and promoting dignity for all.
