Job Description:
A leading manufacturer in the region is looking for two Production Operatives to join a growing team due to expansion.
The working hours are 6am - 2:30pm, Monday to Thursday and 5 hours on Friday from 6 - 11am.
The successful candidate will work in various areas of component manufacturing, product assembly, wiring, and testing as required to meet delivery deadlines.
* Manufacture components and assemble products according to documented instructions, drawings, and specifications.
* Ensure all activities meet quality standards and applicable regulations.
* Set up and operate manufacturing equipment, including EHRT, plating lines, and power presses, to ensure efficient production.
* Maintain a safe and organized work environment and adhere to safe working practices at all times.
* Store components and products neatly and correctly identify them.
* Maintain accurate records of production, product information, and other relevant data.
* Liaise with team leaders to ensure stock levels are updated regularly.
* Optimize equipment performance and resource utilization to maximize efficiency and productivity.
* Maintain machinery and equipment according to TPM programs.
* Notify the Production Manager or relevant staff of any equipment maintenance issues.
* Participate actively in team collaboration and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Suggest ideas to improve production area efficiency and safety to the Team Leader or Line Manager.
* Raise awareness of manufacturing problems with the Production Manager and work together to find solutions.
The ideal candidate should have previous experience in production, assembling products, wiring, and machinery operation. They must be able to multitask, work from drawings, problem-solve, and identify root causes and suggest solutions.
