Client:
Our client is a leading interior fit-out contractor based in Antrim, Northern Ireland. They carry out a range of fit-out projects across various sectors including commercial, hotels, luxury residential and specialist joinery projects.
They are looking for a Buyer to join them to support procurement activities, playing a key role in sourcing goods and services efficiently, within budget and timescales, ensuring best value from their approved supply chain.
Main Responsibilities:
* Manage the procurement of materials and services to meet project needs
* Analyse stock/requisition data to optimise purchase orders
* Negotiate supplier contracts and service level agreements
* Monitor supplier performance and maintain accurate procurement records
* Collaborate with internal teams to forecast needs and mitigate risks
* Support the implementation of ISO and industry-compliant procurement practices
The Ideal Person:
* Construction related Degree or other relevant qualifications
* Track record working in procurement
* Experience working on fit out projects is ideal
* Strong negotiation skills
* Excellent IT skills
* Experience using computerised purchase ordering systems
* Self motivated
* Team player, good communication and organisational skills
