NIGHT SHIFT RECYCLING FIRST LINE MANAGER
We are seeking a Permanent, First Line Manager to work in our Recycling unit on our night shift
About the Role:
1. Leadership of own team circa 20 colleagues
2. Disciplines include inbound receiving of palletised card and dry store waste to be processed including bailing and segregation before subsequent despatch to onward processors.
3. Drives process change and improvements whilst maintaining Health & Safety as a priority and developing standard operational process ensuring accuracy of stock is optimised.
4. Work in close cooperation with peer group including inventory, H&S, planning and HR Manager.
5. Achieve and exceed operational KPIs and work with other departments on any deviations and corrective action plans.
6. Driving operational efficiency across multiple disciplines and time frames ensuring resources coordinated in line with changing demands and deadlines.
7. Supports & identifies process improvements whilst maintaining Health & Safety as a priority and developing standard operational process ensuring productivity targets exceeded.
8. Staff engagement including pre-shift briefings supported by up-to-date KPI display and dialogue.
9. Review performance and support Shift Manager with any underperformance through appropriate Management intervention
Knowledge and Skills, we need of you:
10. Experience of managing recycling of waste, primarily card, plastics and polystyrene
11. Microsoft excel, word & PowerPoint preferable
Person Specification:
12. Team player and great communicator with a strong work ethic and an engagement enthusiast
13. This is a new site requiring policies, procedures, SSOW and routines to be understood and refined.
