Join to apply for the Chef - Monday to Friday role at Thomas Franks Ltd. Derby location for a leading Railway Technology business, catering for approximately 900 people daily. This is a Monday to Friday operation with Breakfast, lunch, grab & go and high-end hospitality. The site has great transport links and is close to the A52.
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Salary: £30,000 per annum
Hours: 40 per week
Shift Timings - 0700 to 1500
We are looking for a talented Chef to join our team at one of our prestigious locations in Derby. If you are a current Head Chef or Sous Chef working with fresh ingredients in a fast-paced environment, please apply today.
You will be excited to work with fresh seasonal ingredients and regularly changing bespoke menus. You will be creative and have the opportunity to showcase your skillset.
Responsibilities
* To work well in a team, providing breakfast, lunch and hospitality.
* To produce food for service using fresh ingredients, cooking from scratch and following the company’s brand standards.
* Ensuring company food standards are adhered to and wastage controlled.
* Ensuring all Food Hygiene and Health & Safety policies and allergen control procedures are followed.
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Great team player.

Knowledge / Competencies
* Ability to demonstrate reasonable/good understanding and use of verbal English.
* Ability to demonstrate reasonable/good standard of written English and reading skills.
* Similar experience in customer and/or food preparation environment is preferred.
