Quo Vadis is a historic Restaurant and Private
Members Club in London with a colourful past and a timeless allure. Formerly a
home to Karl Marx, Quo Vadis is something of a Soho institution, attracting an
eclectic crowd who are drawn to the good things in life. The critically
acclaimed restaurants serve seasonal, Modern British Cuisine, with a monthly
menu conjured up by renowned Chef Proprietor, Jeremy Lee and his culinary team.
The Sommelier role:
* Be the face of the brand known for its warm
welcome, conviviality and hospitality
* Excellent
knowledge of our menus, provenance, brand, care, and service to maximise our
guest journey
* Design and deliver
regular training sessions for the wider team
* Work closely with the
wine buyer for Quo Vadis
* Maintain careful control
and organisation of the wine fridges throughout the building
* Ensure the tills are
constantly updated and accurately reflect the current stock and prices
* Approach
hospitality with a friendly and curious mindset, looking for improvement in
everything we do
* Ensure all wines are
served at the appropriate temperature and within the proper glassware
* Enhance guest experience
by nurturing relationships and celebrating our loyal members
* As part of our
sustainability effort, respect recycling, energy, and other initiatives
throughout the business
* Have an excellent knowledge of a wide variety of wines, the
regions that produce them and the winemaking process
* Maintain brand standards
by checking the quality and consistency
* Strong team ethic, developing and inspiring
your own team
