Job Title: School Chef
Location: Hillingdon Manor School, Uxbridge UB8 3HD
Salary: GBP26,000.00 per annum (not pro rata)
Hours: 38.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only

We are recruiting an experienced Chef to join our team at Hillingdon Manor School in Uxbridge.
About the Role
Responsible for planning and preparing high-quality food and catering services for the School, managing and supervising all kitchen staff.
Key Responsibilities
1. Plan menus considering the dietary needs of Service Users.
2. Monitor stocks by date rotation, portion control, and quality, adhering to budgetary controls.
3. Set up and clean kitchen areas before and after use.
4. Prepare for daily and weekly demands of the School.
5. Minimize waste.
6. Provide suitable food for staff and Service Users with special dietary requirements.
Who are we looking for
The ideal candidate will have:
* Knowledge of catering practices and storage of relevant products.
* Knowledge of food safety requirements.
* Experience in catering within residential or educational settings.
* Experience in menu planning with budget and nutritional considerations.
* Management experience, supervising and appraising staff.
