As a Mechanical Engineer, you’ll work across the full lifecycle of downhole drilling systems—covering design, analysis, assembly, testing, and integration. You’ll play a key role in ensuring that equipment is safe, reliable, and meets the demands of extreme operating environments. The position is based on‑site at their UK Product Centre in Tewkesbury, working closely with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality teams. Key Responsibilities – Mechanical Engineer Performing mechanical design and analysis of mechanical components, assemblies, tooling, and test equipment. Carrying out engineering calculations including stress analysis and material selection. Producing high‑quality engineering documentation such as drawings, calculations, procedures, and reports, Supporting assembly, testing, system integration, and commissioning activities. Participating in design reviews and contributing to technical risk management. Ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality procedures. Maintaining product files and supporting equipment readiness for deployment. Travelling to field locations when required. Key Experience & Qualifications – Mechanical Engineer Strong background in mechanical design, engineering analysis, and documentation. Practical, hands‑on experience with mechanical assemblies, testing, or integration. Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and perform calculations. High attention to detail, good engineering judgement, and a structured, process‑driven working style. Comfortable working with established engineering processes while contributing to new process development, Engineering degree or equivalent relevant industry experience.
