Role OverviewAn excellent opportunity has arisen for an Associate or Senior Associate (3–5 PQE+) to join a nationally recognised employment team within a leading UK law firm specialising in the health, social care, life sciences and third sector markets.Based in the firm’s North Yorkshire office, you will advise on a broad mix of contentious and non-contentious employment matters for a diverse client base that includes providers, commissioners, regulators and policy makers. The role offers exposure to complex, high-profile work, including advising on workforce issues linked to innovative healthcare delivery models, organisational change, and emerging technologies within the sector.You will work as part of a collaborative national practice, gaining access to high-quality work while developing your own experience and profile within a supportive and well-established team.Candidate Profile/Experience neededThe successful candidate will be a qualified solicitor with ideally 3–5 years’ PQE (applications outside this range will be considered on merit) and a strong grounding in employment law.You will demonstrate:
* Solid experience handling employment tribunal claims and managing contentious matters autonomously
* Confidence running ET litigation files day-to-day, alongside advising on non-contentious advisory work
* An interest in, or experience advising, health, social care, public sector or third sector clients (sector experience advantageous but not essential)
* The ability to supervise and mentor junior lawyers, trainees and apprentices, delegating effectively while supporting their development
* Strong client relationship, business development and marketing skills, with enthusiasm to contribute to the continued growth of the practice
* A pragmatic, solutions-focused approach and the ability to deliver clear, commercial advice in a fast-moving environment
