We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Teacher of English. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver an engaging curriculum that promotes excellence and inspires young people to develop confidence, a love of English, and strong literacy skills.
You will be actively involved from the outset in teaching English as a core subject, delivering both English Language and English Literature from Key Stage 3 through to GCSE level.
As part of a supportive and collaborative team, you will play a key role in delivering outstanding provision across the subject. This includes contributing to the ongoing development of schemes of learning, helping to manage resources, and working closely with colleagues to secure excellent teaching and learning across all key stages.

What are we looking for?
The successful candidate will be:
1. a qualified teacher with QTS and a relevant undergraduate degree
2. an excellent classroom practitioner with a proven track record of raising achievement
3. confident in delivering the English National Curriculum at Key Stages 3 and 4
4. knowledgeable about effective teaching, learning and assessment
5. experienced in using monitoring and evaluation to improve classroom practice
6. committed to curriculum development and continuous improvement
7. passionate about promoting language, literacy and reading across the curriculum
8. able to implement new strategies and contribute positively to change
Our students
9. We deliver a knowledge-rich national curriculum, carefully adapted to meet the needs of a fully comprehensive intake, including students with a wide range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), such as communication and interaction difficulties, cognition and learning challenges, and social, emotional and mental health needs. Many of our students arrive with a history of disrupted education and low prior attainment; however, they also bring strengths, interests and the potential for academic achievement when appropriately supported.
