Hoare Lea invites applications for the 2026 Graduate Mechanical Engineer - Glasgow role. Hoare Lea is a human-centric and planet-conscious engineering consultancy providing intelligent and sustainable solutions for the built environment across the UK and beyond.

What we are looking for
* An expected or achieved 2.1 (or above) IMechE or CIBSE accredited degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
* A masters or other relevant postgraduate qualification is an advantage
* Previous placement or work experience in a similar industry is an advantage
* Understanding of CAD or similar modelling software is an advantage
* Excellent communication, analytical and organisational skills
* Ability to work in a team environment and independently
* A friendly, ambitious and confident individual with a flexible and resilient approach
Responsibilities
* Working on live projects from day one, across a variety of sectors including healthcare and hotels
* Producing detailed designs and drawings
* Using CAD and Revit for modelling
* Undertaking site surveys and researching new technologies
* Engaging in continuous CPD and development opportunities
* Supporting Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Control Systems design and related mechanical work
* Producing designs for above- and below-ground drainage and hot/cold-water services to standard, budget and deadlines
