Accounts Manager Royston
AJ Chambers have an opportunity for you to join one of our impressive clients’ firms as an Accounts Manager, to work within one of their busy teams in their Royston office, which provides a wide range of services to clients, including accounts preparation, bookkeeping and the production of management accounts and information as well as Tax computations and advice.
You would ideally have relevant previous experience, have completed your ACA or ACCA qualification and be self-motivated, computer literate and have good written and verbal communication skills.
ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent preferably with 3 or more years’ post-qualification experience in an accountancy practice
Broad accounts and tax knowledge with the ability to advise clients directly
Proficient at Microsoft office especially Excel
IRIS, Xero, Sage, QuickBooks etc

Deliver accounts to partner for discussion with clients, free of technical error and with only major queries outstanding;
Take responsibility for WIP control and billing;
Assist in the management of the overall team on a day to day basis;
Act as a major point of contact within the firm for client requests/needs, including discussion of billing and fees, keeping clients informed of progress in relation to all aspects of the service provided and maintaining regular contact with clients;
In regular, progressive contact with clients building personal rapport
Keep up to date with all technical developments to ensure continued excellent services
Develop staff, their capabilities and performance; (Oversee and manage clients’ accounts, tax and value-added services assignments, to include monitoring progress against budget and established timeframe, review of work completed by junior team members and resolving all issues prior to Partner review;
