Description
National Energy System Operator (NESO) is seeking a Zero Carbon Technology Analyst to support its Zero Carbon Operation team within the Strategic Energy Planning directorate. The role involves understanding emerging energy technologies, supporting strategic decisions, engaging stakeholders, and working closely with internal experts to facilitate the transition to a decarbonised electricity system. The position offers flexible working arrangements from Warwick or Wokingham, including hybrid options, and welcomes both full-time and part-time applicants.

Key Accountabilities
* Develop and communicate NESO approaches related to the impact of new technologies on system operability.
* Lead strategic decision-making processes regarding technology operability, working with internal experts and external stakeholders.
* Represent NESO externally, engaging with DESNZ, Ofgem, trade associations, and industry groups.
* Develop and implement stakeholder engagement strategies, manage relationships, and respond to queries.
* Coordinate internal sector activities, build relationships across teams, and support innovation projects.
About You
We seek a visionary individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong stakeholder management experience, project management capabilities, and an interest in energy policy and technology. Experience in the energy sector or policy environment is advantageous, and adaptability to new sectors is essential.
