A globally recognised manufacturing organisation are looking to recruit a Shift Production Operator on a permanent basis at their site in Birmingham. This opportunity plays an integral part of the production department, ensuring the consistent operation of production machinery with a 24/7 manufacturing environment. Key tasks include: * Operate and monitor production systems, ensuring smooth, reliable performance across a range of plant and manufacturing equipment. * Collaborate closely with internal teams to maximise efficiency, streamline workflows, and drive overall production output. * Support and contribute to site projects, assist with manufacturing activities, and provide hands-on help during equipment breakdowns to keep operations running. * Champion a strong Health & Safety and Continuous Improvement culture, helping to maintain a safe workplace and drive ongoing operational enhancements. To be considered for this opportunity, candidates need to have previous operations experience within a relatable manufacturing or industrial sector (Automotive, FMCG, Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Industrial). Ideally you will have a recognised technical or H&S qualification (IOSH). The position is site-based and on a 24/7 shift pattern with a mixture of 12-hour day and night shifts including weekends. As well as a competitive salary and overtime, the position comes with a defined pension scheme and annual bonus. There is an initial training period on days at a lower hourly rate before the full rate on shift. Some level of formal qualification is required (GSCE or equivalent) and Forklift Truck licence is desirable.
