What’s the role about?
As our Menswear Product Developer, you will manage sample management and product management of our Knitwear category, taking ownership of the critical path of the production process. You will report to our Senior Product Developer, based in Picton Place, London.
Who you are
* Team player and able to work independently
* Experience in buying is beneficial but not essential
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
* A good understanding of the critical path
* Organised and able to prioritise workload
* Understanding of supply management, sample development, and cost management
* Previous experience within retail head office
What you’ll be doing
* Liaise with Senior Product Developer on factory plans for the upcoming season
* Plan factory prototype sample requirements
* Ensure costings and fabric ratings are received from suppliers and negotiate where necessary
* Confirm production ex-factory dates with suppliers
* Add costs to buy sheets for approval
* Negotiate factory cost prices for approval
* Review and update the critical path daily
* Work with the Design team and factories on timely lab dip submissions and approvals
* Liaise with fabric and trim departments on ex-mill dates and trim availability dates
* Attend fit meetings to highlight and communicate problems to suppliers
* Liaise with Merchandising and Design teams to ensure all departments have consistent information
