Development Engineer Location: (Roving Role) Greater Manchester / Cheshire / Lancashire Job Role We are currently recruiting for a Development Engineer to work on 4 x projects in Manchester, Warrington and Chorley - the projects are Large House Building schemes and will include Earthworks, 278 Works, Setting Out, Resurfacing, Kerbing, Paving, Drainage, Footways, Roads and Public Realm. You will be in a team of Engineers with a supporting Senior Engineer on the jobs. Duties Core site engineering responsibilities, including precise setting out of works using engineering drawings, specifications, and control points.Deliver key elements of external civil works, such as pavement construction, road surfacing, kerb laying, and drainage installation, ensuring compliance with project and regulatory standards.Operating Leica TS16 Total Station and GPS surveying equipment for accurate spatial data capture and layout, supporting high-precision construction.Coordinate daily operations with subcontractors and site teamsManage the full project cycle of assigned tasks from site setup to final handover and maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.Interpret and implement technical drawings, method statements, and risk assessments, contributing to safe and efficient on-site execution.Pre Construction involvementLegal involvement Person Specification Experience as a Development EngineerMust have worked on Civils / Highways schemesHNC/HND/Degree in civil engineering would be beneficial Contract Type: Permanent Hours: Full Time - 40 hours - Monday to Friday
