Hotel Indigo Gloucester is set to open in 2026, offering a free-spirited experience enriched with local culture. Located in the heart of the neighbourhood and built on the site of the White Priory, we embrace storytelling-by-design. Artefacts rescued from the site are showcased in the Gloucester Museum, linking our hotel to the city’s history. Role Overview: As an Operations Manager, your daily focus will be on guest needs, overseeing key responsibilities including:
1. Making strategic decisions for outlets such as a Rooftop Bar, a-la-carte Restaurant, and Coffee Shop Bistro.
2. Managing and coaching the Head of Rooms and Food & Beverage Operations Managers, with a focus on F&B while also supporting Rooms management activities.
3. Ensuring excellent dining and drinking experiences through effective management of the F&B function and team coordination.
4. Collaborating with the Executive Head Chef on menu development and staying updated with local dining trends.
5. Recruiting and training the team, delegating tasks to develop talent.
6. Controlling F&B department finances, working with the Finance Team and GM to improve efficiency and report on financial performance.
Candidate Profile: We seek a service-oriented leader who excels in delivering exceptional guest experiences. The ideal candidate will have:
1. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
2. Experience as an Operations Manager in a similar venue, with familiarity in Bar, Restaurant, and Rooms operations.
3. Strong people management skills, including recruiting and training.
4. Passion for delivering excellent customer service and staying abreast of F&B trends.
5. Leadership by example, inspiring continuous improvement.
6. Knowledge of P&L management to maximize profitability.
