Pay rate: £25.61 – £39.83 per hour (depending on experience)
I am recruiting on behalf of a well-established Leeds based university for an experienced Senior Lecturer to join their academic team on a full time temporary basis. This role will involve delivering high-quality teaching, contributing to curriculum development, and supporting the academic progression of students while providing leadership within the department.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and tutorials to undergraduate and/or postgraduate students
• Lead curriculum planning, module development, and programme delivery
• Supervise student projects, dissertations, and research work
• Provide constructive feedback on assessments and contribute to academic quality assurance processes
• Support departmental initiatives and mentor junior academic staff
• Participate in academic committees, assessment boards, and research activity
Requirements
• Proven experience as a Senior Lecturer or equivalent role within higher education
• Relevant degree-level qualification, ideally with postgraduate or professional credentials in a related field
• Strong knowledge of academic frameworks, teaching practices, and student engagement strategies
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative academic team
