Description Commercial & Billing Administrator CNS are looking for a Commercial & Billing Administrator on a 12 month contract, to be the first point of contact for customer queries relating to invoices, credits and billing administration. You will deliver excellent customer service with timely resolution, collaborate closely with CNS Commercial and business partners to drive account satisfaction, and work with CNS product teams to enhance the overall customer experience. You’ll also reconcile billing tasks within defined billing cycles to support accurate, on ‑ time invoicing. Our ideal candidate will be someone with billing and invoicing experience, keen eye for detail and excellent communication skills. CNS provides operational solutions across multiple areas of the supply chain and bills customers directly and on behalf of business partners, including two of the UK’s largest container terminals. Recovery of queried costs through invoices is critical to the continued operation of CNS and its partners. CNS are an IT services business processing customs clearance and other regulatory and commercial information for over 100 locations around the UK, including links to Customs for FedEx, UPS and TNT. CNS’s systems provide real time clearance of cargo without which it’s maritime and air customers’ freight cannot move. CNS customs links are a pre-requisite for the movement of cargo through DP World Southampton and TCS. CNS is part of DP World Southampton and as part of this team you will work on site. Location: Southampton Hours: Monday – Friday Contract: 12 month FTC How you will Contribute •Manage the CNS invoice query process. •Resolve customer invoice and credit note queries where necessary, liaising as necessary with CNS and DP World teams. •Manage and set up new customers on finance, CRM and billing systems. •Provide support for daily commercial billing activities. •Provide admin support for new and existing customers ensuring services subscribed to are accurate for their business and role within the community. •Complete reconciliation tasks for credit and recharge during billing cycles. •Have a working understanding of CNS and business partner charging models and initiatives •CNS provide operational solutions in multiple areas of the supply chain. The costs associated with use of the systems are charged by CNS and on behalf of CNS business partners, including two of the three largest UK container terminals •As the point of contact for invoice queries from internal and external parties through email and phone. Contact is logged within ITSM and will follow frameworks to resolve and escalate where required •Working knowledge of the operations associated with the charges and other supply chain initiatives that generate invoices events •Recovery of queried costs through invoices is an important activity for the continuous operation of CNS and its business partners. What You Will Bring Experience QUALIFICATIONS •5 GCSEs A-C including Maths and English or equivalent preferred. EXPERIENCE Essential •Demonstratable administration experience •Experience in a customer service or account management •Experience using a range Microsoft office products Desirable •Administrative experience in accounts/credit control desirable •Previous experience in freight industry SKILLS •Self-motivated •Well organised to manage own time and workload •Good written and verbal communication skills across email, phone calls, meetings with ability to empathise with customers and manage difficult conversations. •Excellent eye for detail and accuracy.
