Role Overview
The Store Manager oversees daily operations, drives sales performance, manages a motivated team of employees, and ensures exceptional customer service to achieve business goals.
Responsibilities
* Run all store operations to meet or exceed sales and KPI targets.
* Create and maintain colleague schedules to ensure proper coverage and productivity.
* Recruit, train and continuously develop a positive team culture and high‑performing team.
* Analyse sales data and financial reports to make rapid, well‑informed decisions and identify opportunities.
* Develop and implement commercial strategies to meet and surpass sales targets.
* Attract and engage customers using contemporary visual merchandising techniques.
* Ensure the highest level of customer service to achieve a positive NPS.
* Address customer inquiries, feedback and complaints promptly and professionally.
* Drive loyalty programs and promotions to enhance customer engagement.
* Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
* Monitor and control store expenses to stay within budget.
* Ensure the store complies with health and safety regulations.
Role Objectives and KPIs
* Contribute to achieving or exceeding the store’s monthly sales target.
* Drive all additional KPIs including units, conversion, ATV and UPT.
* Achieve upselling or cross‑selling targets.
* Maintain a high Net Promoter Score.
* Ensure stock accuracy during store audits.
* Ensure all new colleagues complete mandatory training.
* Achieve employee satisfaction benchmarks on engagement surveys.
* Keep operational costs within the allocated budget.
Skills and Experience
* Previous management experience in a fast‑paced retail or customer‑facing environment.
* Passionate about retail and knowledgeable about current trends and competitors.
* Strong leadership skills with experience coaching and developing teams.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Proven track record of managing and exceeding sales targets and KPIs.
* Experience analysing reports and making commercial decisions.
* Attention to detail and commercial acumen.
* Previous visual merchandising experience is advantageous.
* Ability to promote JD Group values internally and externally.
