We have a fantastic opportunity for a Sous Chef to join our team at Daish's Hotels! Enjoy a competitive salary of up to £31,941 per annum, based on a 45-hour workweek with varied shifts up to 6 days a week, plus incremental and performance reviews. We offer continuous, all-year-round employment — we don’t close for winter!
Additional benefits include a £50 bonus after completing basic training, and a £100 split if you refer a friend. Our kitchen team finishes no later than 8:30 pm, with breakfast shifts starting from 7 am. Hours include evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.

As a Sous Chef, you'll prepare quality meals for up to 150 guests within a 45-minute service window for breakfast and dinner. Full training is provided in kitchen management, working with set menus, and ensuring high standards of taste, presentation, and food safety. You'll also be part of our Daish's Training Academy.
Skills and Attributes:
* Produce food as directed by the head chef, with potential to create your own dishes independently and as part of the team.
* Assist in implementing menus with new or existing creations, ensuring variety and quality.
* Work with the Head Chef to maintain kitchen equipment and standards.
* Train new staff members.
* Assist with stocktaking and stock replenishment as required.
* Maintain legislative records such as SFBB logs and labelling systems for inspections.
* Follow health and safety policies to maintain a safe working environment.
* Experience in a commercial kitchen environment.
* Ability to manage tasks effectively.
* Good knowledge of culinary trends and kitchen processes.
* Enthusiastic, confident, and competent.
* Ability to multi-task and perform under pressure.
* Align with organizational values and contribute positively.
* Knowledge of health and safety issues in kitchens.
* Catering experience in a coaching hotel operation is desirable.
