Role Overview:
The role is part of the PPP support to the Digital Asset Management (DAM) programme within Sellafield. The PPP support to DAM is an integrated project team with members from PPP and Sellafield’s asset management capability.
The DAM programme is a site-wide delivery improvement initiative supporting Sellafield’s improvement requirements. The programme aims to address issues with Sellafield’s asset management arrangements, with a targeted outcome of: “An integrated information line of sight from the asset through to the enterprise that integrates activities across the asset lifecycle, removes the burden of paper-based work processes from our teams, and engages everyone in the use of modern digital technologies to inform decision making.”
Role Responsibilities:
The Business Analyst will support the DAM Project, focusing on delivering outcomes.
Main duties include:
* Conducting workshops to establish business needs and translating these into outcomes, outputs, use cases, or user stories.
* Designing process maps.
* Engaging with stakeholders to plan and review requirements.
* Collaborating with Enterprise Architects to assess existing solutions for suitability.
* Working with Business stakeholders to develop demand requests and governance documents.
* Managing business requirements and maintaining the Requirements Register.
* Documenting stakeholder engagement, sign-offs, and transmittal processes.
* Developing validation rules and quality reviews to ensure requirements are met.
* Preparing business requirements, documenting 'As Is' and 'To Be' processes, and creating process flows.
* Documenting functions and writing process documentation.
Skills / ESSENTIAL:
* Experience engaging with the Business to identify and document requirements as outcomes or outputs.
* Proven ability to analyze complex projects and inform stakeholder decisions, including business case development and benefits mapping.
* Ability to communicate ideas clearly in plain English.
* Strong facilitation and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work well in a team and build relationships with senior stakeholders.
* Self-motivated and proactive.
* Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to present complex data clearly.
* Eligibility for or ability to obtain government clearance (SC/SL – Nuclear).
Skills / DESIRABLE:
* Knowledge of Business Analysis frameworks, value cycles, and UAT methodologies.
* Experience working in a regulatory environment.
* Experience delivering within transformation programmes.
