You'll use your strong IT skills to oversee our dispatching function and keep our systems running smoothly, while ensuring full financial compliance with North Northamptonshire Council procedures. You'll play a key part in coordinating work across different service areas, building strong relationships with internal partners, and making sure our service delivery not only meets but exceeds expectations. You'll also take a leading role in maintaining a safe and compliant working environment by creating, reviewing, and updating health and safety policies alongside the Health and Safety team. Your professional advice will help ensure we meet all relevant health, safety, building, and environmental requirements. As a champion of good practice, you'll make sure our management procedures remain consistent, effective, and fit for purpose as the service evolves. What will you be doing?
* Leadership – Support continuous improvement in Housing Property Services Team Strategy.
* Strategy – Contribute to the ongoing delivery of the Asset Management Strategy (AMS) Business plan; support the development of a clear plan to deliver the R&M Team's contribution to the AMS.
* Performance Management – Plan and monitor performance against service objectives and customer needs and ensure effective budget management.
* Staff Management – Manage trades in relation to HR issues, performance and workmanship etc.
* Processes – Maintain effective procedures and processes to deliver a customer focused, efficient service.
* Partnerships – Maintain effective partnership-based relationships with all other parts of the R&M Team, the Council (including elected members), and external bodies.

Key Skills & Qualifications
* Strong IT Skills with excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office suite applications.
* Relevant experience working in the construction sector, preferably within Local Authority or a Housing Association.
* A relevant construction qualification equivalent to HNC or higher, or a construction trade or Surveying background.
* Full driving licence and access to a car for business use. Ability to work in occupied and void properties in rural and town locations.
