About the Role
We are seeking a creative and/or commercially minded professional to join our charity's Board of Trustees. This is a voluntary, non-executive governance role based in Worthing, with responsibilities including shaping strategic direction, overseeing charity operations, and contributing to our development plans.
What We Are Looking For
We welcome applicants with diverse skills and experiences, particularly those with lived experience of visual impairments or sensory disabilities, or those with expertise in accountancy, marketing, procurement, or related fields. Knowledge of disability inclusion is beneficial.
Responsibilities
* Attend approximately 10 of 12 monthly Board meetings and participate in events such as training workshops, the AGM, and fundraising activities.
* Contribute to strategic planning and governance, ensuring compliance with charity standards.
* Support the development of the charity in collaboration with trustees, staff, and service users.
Additional Information
This role offers flexibility and the opportunity to be involved in various projects. Expenses incurred will be reimbursed.
