Renewable Energy Electrician – Social Housing Focus: Cambridge
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled electrician to join our team, specialising in renewable energy installations, with a focus on serving social housing properties. You will be a key player in installing, testing, and maintaining various renewable energy systems, with a strong focus on high‑quality electrical work. While Solar PV experience is desirable, full training is available for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
* Carrying out all aspects of electrical works to a high standard, including testing, fault‑finding, and commissioning.
* Installing, testing, and commissioning renewable energy systems (e.g., Solar PV).
* Working confidently with DC and AC circuits, inverters, and isolators.
* Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and technical drawings.
* Completing all relevant electrical certification and maintaining accurate work records.
* Strictly adhering to all HSE protocols and safety procedures.
Please note: While based in Cambridge you may be required to work further afield as contract demands.

What You'll Need To Succeed (Essential)
* Served a recognised Electrical apprenticeship and/or hold appropriate full electrical qualifications.
* Current 18th Edition I.E.E. Wiring Regulations certification.
* 2391 or equivalent testing and inspection qualification.
* AM2 and an ECS Gold Card.
* Full UK driving licence (under 7 points) and your own full set of tools.
* Knowledge or experience with MCS accreditation (Microgeneration Certification Scheme).
