CNC Programmer / Manufacturing Engineer – Rotherham
Circa £40k
Adept Resourcing are recruiting for a CNC Professional on behalf of our client. A solid role for someone who understands machining, enjoys solving problems, and wants to play a key part in improving shop floor performance. Shift pattern of 8 - 4, Monday - Friday. Temporary for 6 months with strong likelihood of going permanent. You'll work closely with the Mould Shop leadership team, supporting CNC operations, programming, process improvement and production readiness.
What you'll be doing
* Writing, editing and simulating CNC programs
* Reviewing CAD models (Inventor / SolidCAM)
* Supporting prove-outs and new machining processes
* Improving manufacturing methods and work holding
* Preparing CNC teams for upcoming work
* Producing technical documentation (SOPs, tooling & inspection sheets)
* Providing technical support across the shop floor
What we're looking for
* Experience with Fanuc / XYZ controls
* Background in CNC machining, milling & turning
* Experience with CAD/CAM
* Strong attention to detail
* Good communication and organisational skills
* Understanding of 6S / Lean manufacturing
* Toolroom apprenticeship (desirable)
