Responsibilities:
*Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and informative lessons that adhere to the current curriculum and cater to a wide range of abilities.
*Foster a positive learning environment that promotes a deep understanding of world religions, ethical viewpoints, and philosophies.
*Assess, track, and report on student progress while providing constructive feedback to encourage student growth.
*Collaborate with the Humanities department and other staff members to develop innovative teaching strategies and curriculum improvements.
*Participate actively in school events, meetings, and ongoing professional development opportunities.
*Encourage students to develop respectful attitudes towards a diverse range of religious beliefs and practices.
*Manage classroom behaviour effectively, maintaining a disciplined and focused learning environment.
Requirements:
*Possess a relevant undergraduate degree in Religious Studies, Theology, or a related field.
*Hold a qualified teacher status (QTS) in the UK.
*Demonstrate a robust understanding of the Religious Education curriculum across Key Stages 3 and 4.
*Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage students and work collaboratively with colleagues.
*Have a proven track record of facilitating student progress and achieving or exceeding expected outcomes.
*Experience in teaching GCSE and A-Level Religious Studies is highly desirable.
*Display commitment to personal and professional development.
*Be sympathetic to the school’s ethos and values, promoting them through teaching practices and professional behaviour.
