Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook high-quality meals according to established recipes and standards
* Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal preparation and service
* Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients
* Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary
* Train and mentor junior kitchen staff on cooking techniques and food safety practices
* Serve meals in an appealing manner, ensuring presentation meets restaurant standards
Experience
* Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, preferably within a restaurant setting
* Strong culinary skills with a focus on meal preparation and cooking techniques
* Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
* Previous experience in serving or front-of-house roles is advantageous but not essential
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality
