Location: Cambridge (CB23) Duration: Permanent Hours: 9am - 5pm (Monday to Friday) Salary: £31000 - £34000 Job Reference: 35760 We are looking for a Warehouse and Service Technician to provide technical support to the warehouse and customer care teams of a company based just outside Cambridge. You will support in all warehouse duties and have full responsibility for fault finding, investigating and subsequently repairing and refurbishing goods returned for refund or repair from trade and end-user customers. Responsibilities * Assist with the inspection and checking of incoming goods * Operate forklift equipment for goods movement and unloading tasks * Support despatch operations, particularly during peak periods or in the absence of the Warehouse Manager * Unload goods from containers efficiently and safely * Assist with periodic and annual stocktakes * Investigate customer returns to identify faults and log findings * Determine the appropriate action for faulty items * Coordinate the despatch of returns, collaborating with the Customer Care Team as needed * Manage and reorder spare parts inventory for repairs * Report emerging fault trends to the Technical Department * Maintain accurate repair logs following internal processes * Perform Goods Receiving and Inspection Tests on incoming goods samples Requirements * Experience working in an electronics manufacturing and development environment * Previous experience in a warehouse environment * Experience troubleshooting faults at component and system level * Familiar with basic electronics circuits * Soldering skills - ability to solder fine pitch components * Problem-solving skills and a methodical mindset * Good IT skills (MS Office, data entry) * Ability to work to documented procedures * Good organisational skills The following would be beneficial: * Formal qualification in electronics / electrical engineering * Experience working as an Electronics Lab Technician using common lab equipment * Able to read schematic diagrams Please contact us as soon as possible for more details or apply below
